Proverbs Day 40
Proverbs 6:20-22(Amplified):
"My son, keep your father's (God given) commandment, and forsake not the law of (God) your mother (taught you).
21 Bind them continually upon your heart, and tie them about your neck.
22 When you go, (the Word of your parents' God) it shall lead you; when you sleep, it shall keep you, and when you waken, it shall talk with you."
Thought for the day:
Again and again in the book of Proverbs, young people are admonished to respect their parents' advice. These verses are telling sons and daughters to listen to their godly parents' words. Young people that are blessed to have Christian parents will be given advice that is based on the Word of God and that advice will never fail them if they adhere to it. Let us listen to what the Lord is speaking and obey Him so that we can walk in blessing and safety.
