Proverbs Day 52
Proverbs 8:33-36:(KJV):
"Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
34 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
36 But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death."
Thought for the day:
We must understand the devil is out to destroy our souls, and we must do the things that keep him from accomplishing his evil designs. Verse 36 tells us that when we sin, we are hurting ourselves and we are actually inviting the devil to come against us with his evil plans and destroy us and bring death to our lives. The "death principle" begins to work against us when we sin against God. What do I mean by the "death principle?" Anything that leads to death -- sickness, depression, fear, unbelief, pride, hatred, bitterness, jealousy, etc. We must ask the Lord daily to forgive us of these sins, and give us His grace to obey him, and then we shall daily walk in His blessing and favor.
